Core Scripture Memorization List
Here is our core scripture memorization list. The scriptures all are central to the teaching of the lessons in Preach My Gospel. We purposely have chosen scriptures that are not excessively lengthy or obtuse, but rather are right to the point and can be easily woven into lessons being given to investigators or members. We ask that each of our missionaries memorize the scriptures word for word, with the exception of the first vision in Joseph Smith History 1: 16-17, which should be given as described in PMG Chapter 3.
We will test your knowledge of these scriptures in each Zone Conference, with a game that will be fun to play. Our goal is to have each Canada Vancouver missionary complete his or her mission with these core scriptures so thoroughly memorized that they will remember them life-long.
Practice them daily, perhaps quizzing back and forth with your companion throughout the day, between appointments.

By no means do we mean to limit your memorization to these 54 scriptures – we urge you to expand your personal list consistent with PMG but these 54 are core scriptures we are urging each missionary to commit to memory.
We love you all, and feel acutely our role in arming each missionary with these basic core scriptures.
